Discover Madame Tussauds Museum
in Amsterdam

The English Madame Tussauds Museum was the first wax figures museum in the world. Amsterdam became the second site and nowadays there are sites all over the world. In this museum you can meet and take poses with all the celebrities, world leaders, sport stars, cultural figures and the Dutch royal family.

Madame Tussauds Museum is a fun activity to do with kids. They will love to see the famous people and will remember their visit for a long time.

It is impressive to see how well the wax figures look alike their real life characters.

You will spend between one hour to one hour and a half in this museum. A good bad weather activity!

How much does it cost?

Adults: 22 Euro
5 to 15 years: 17 Euro
0 to 5 years: free

They also offer family packages that gives a little discount. And you can get your tickets cheaper if you order your tickets online.


The IAmsterdam Card is not valid here.


Tips

  • Bring your camera ! Take photos, you are allowed to touch the figures.
  • You can buy discounted tickets online and avoid waiting in line to get in! Buy your tickets here
  • Don't bring large bags
  • You can bring strollers or prams, but there are some stairs in the museum and there is no place for storage.

How to get there?

It's about a 10 minute walk from the Central Station to the Madame Tussauds Museum. Just go straight out of the Central Station over Damrak to Dam Square.

You can also get to the Dam by tram:
Tram 1, 2, 5, 17 and 20. Get out at Magna Plaza/Dam.
Tram 4, 9, 16, 20, 24, 25. Get out at Bijenkorf/Dam.
